[K3pzn-board] Meeting for March

Now that I look at the calendar ... next club meeting is March 14 (second
Monday) which puts the board meeting at March 23 (Wednesday week following the
club meeting -- wow that is late in the month ...).

Usually all but the December board meetings are at FTC.

Now that I got this figured out, I am voting myself off the board, as I have
missed too many board meetings.

Now that Spring is coming, the incoming board should think about FD.  (I guess
it's cabin fever - but I would like to do FD someday from on top of South
Mountain, QRP CW, but I know I am 'different.')

Hi!

What is the exact date and time for the
CCARC board meeting this month?

7:30 PM?  At a restaurant or the usual
training center location?

Our email reflector subheader is outdated.

Thanks,

Pat

I have not heard any rumblings on topic - and I am thinking we need more than
the vote on upgrading the repeater to make it worth 'driving across Carroll
County' for.

Perhaps we don't have a topic lined up ?  And time is scarce.

One idea - message handling.  Who knows how many of us can handle formal traffic

without stumbling .... Perhaps see if Joe Tracy can give a short presentation,
followed by a practice session (Joe can 'send' a message to the audience, and we

could ask for a volunteer or two to prepare a message prior to the meeting).

Second idea - Pete seems to always into something technical ?

It's never a dreadful idea to have 2 short presentations instead of one long
one.  It is important to maintain 'editorial balance' among the diverse
interests we have.

My interest is keeping our club interesting -- as remember our members could
always be 'tempted' by those neighboring clubs if we don't keep ours lively.  (I

much prefer driving to our FTC vs Owings Mills or Columbia - that is easy!)

Wow the sun is getting very active (finally).  But I don't know of any solar
experts in the club who would take a stab at this topic.  We should ask Jim
about inviting a PVRC related presenter some day, on something
interesting.  Jack's talk on northern lights was interesting - I am forgetful on

any other radio-related topics he previously mentioned.
