Andy
great to hear from you. given shortness of time, let's see if Steve bites on presenting what he learned and how it may apply to further building our club. if so, its a great topic to launch our year.
wireless networking at home sounds like an interesting topic - but maybe its best to give you until Feb to prepare ? yes the info is out there but real-world experience would be great help to mortals like myself who stumble a lot in digital hardware/software integration.
in more primitive efforts - i did get my USB-to-K2 interface successfully working with a USB/serial adaptor. then i tried to send CW via a parallel port with mixed results. i guess i would like to understand what a modestly equipped 'Writelog' station does for sending CW without a serial port. surprisingly, at least when using my lower-end contesting program GenLog, sending CW benefits from having more RAM to my surprise! (maybe i'll borrow our other PC that has more RAM and a serial port for the ARRL CW DX contest! i have explored N1MM, but it's not so easy to use nor integrate. i also wish to integrate for RTTY).
