I believe we had agreed to stay with our usual date for the hamfest -- likely Steve's notes can confirm.  

Sounds like you have a sound plan for Christmas (party) on the 13th.

To Curt's list, add: 

(1) Hamfest/tailgate fest -- I had informal discussions with Nicole in November.  The August date was good (but I don't remember what it is) and the October date is our usual 4th Sunday.  Do you recall that we considered moving either earlier or later (so the contesters won't have an excuse to stay away..Hi)?  Nicole advised us to keep the same date because of events already scheduled.   It's time to commit by getting the draft contracts and paying the deposits.  

Who steps up to be our interface with the Ag Center this year?   Bill N3WM did it last year, Chuck N3TOT and I two years ago.  

Also, who are the committee chairpersons (two needed)?

New item: (6) Holiday Party date -- Following our party on Dec 7, I scheduled Dec 6.  I checked with the VFW yesterday and found good news and bad.   First, the bad news: we have been "bumped" from the banquet hall for a larger party.  Another party has the banquet hall on the 13th.  The good news: We have the dining room (where some of us members have lunch from time to time).  The dining room is smaller and offers a better fit for a group our size (but not as "cozy" as the hotel room of a few years ago).  

Although the dining room is available for the Dec 6, I opted for the 13th, as it is closer to our actual 2nd Monday meeting date and Frank K3MTT and Sandie N3MAK can attend.  

How do you feel about the 13th vs. the 6th and shall we bring it to vote on Monday?  I vote for the 13th.  

Who is the HP committee chairperson?

(2) What are we doing for the Feb club meeting ?  (I would be glad to help organize it based upon what we want to do)

-- certainly a report on our Easypal results (sorry i missed it) and ??
-- a report of Steve on what he learned on club building -- let's certainly expand and refresh our vision

(3) Nominating committee -- i am aware of 2 vacancies that we must fill -- Treasure and VP -- and I trust the committee is already working this.  Maybe they are already encouraging the president and secretary to continue to serve ?

(4) 2009 club priorities -- it would be good to discuss/establish club direction.  likely we all have thoughts to best serve our diverse membership and continue to add to our numbers, and serve our community.  

(5) Station -- any possiblity of getting it on the air before and/or after our meeting (concentrating on getting hams without home stations on the air) ??  perhaps a few of us could try to be there by 6:45 and allow operations until 7:30 ?? or even for a half hour before the meeting ?  i can't commit every month but sometimes -- i recommend we aim for 2 mentors to be available each month.

I can be there on the 4th.  However, based on the number of "outs" (Steve, 
Andy, Curt and Pat so far) looks slim for an official version.  What can an 
unofficial meeting accomplish that we can't do by email?

I vote for Curt's suggestion to wait until the 18th...as he said, it's only 
two weeks away.
