If we are going to continue to try to attract larger table vendors, then it
is imperative to have setup before 10PM.  Also, we have been recognized as
the last Sunday of the month. It may be better not to change the date.
Changes often don't sit well with customers. Look at what has happened when
they moved the hamfest out of Gaithersburg and around a couple of times
before return. Devastating results for what was once the largest hamfest in
MD and close by states.

I still think we have a chance to stay alive and compete as we get a good
deal on the Ag Center grounds. The longer we last, the better we should do
if other hamfests continue to decline and the clubs can no longer afford to
run their hamfests. The clubs running  what used to be a good hamfest in
York, PA are a good example.  Also that is another example of change for the
worst. The hamfest was not the same after moving from the airport to the
fairgrounds.

  I CONTACTED BARRY LIPPY TODAY TO ASK THE CHANGES WE WANTED TO MAKE;

  1)  IS THERE A PLACE TO DO THE TESTING BECAUSE THE ROOM WE NORMALLY
USE IS NOT AVAILABLE; WE CAN USE THE BLOCK BUILDING BESIDE THE
RESTROOMS, HE WILL LET US USE IT FOR 50$.

  2) IS OCTOBER 23D OPEN; YES IT IS AND HE WILL HOLD IT, BUTTTTTTTT, WE
CANNOT GET INTO BURNS HALL TO SET UP ON THE 22D UNTIL AFTER 10PM.
