RULES OF CCARC AUCTION
1. The auction is being held to clean out the barn and radio rooms of
equipment and other related items deemed no longer required to
operate or maintain the clubs station, monies generated by this
auction may be placed in the general fund or any special fund as
decided by the members.
2. All items are being sold as is and no warranty is implied, they
are to be paid for the evening of the auction and removed from the
club that evening as well, unless the winner is an e-mail bid and
not present at the meeting, in that case see paragraph 5 below.
3. Individuals who purchase any of the towers will be required to
sign a waiver of liability, releasing the club from any
responsibility for damage or injury incurred in erecting or using
said tower.
4. Items will be posted on the reflector, you may bid on any item
listed, e-mail your bid to [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>,
include the item number as listed on the reflector, your call
sign, your first name, and your bid. Bids will be sorted and kept
until the evening of the auction, all items will be but up for
auction on the meeting room floor and the highest bid from the
e-mail will be the starting bid, thus those who bid through the
e-mail may be out bid at the meeting, the items will go to the
highest bidder, whether by e-mail or at the meeting, in the event
of a tie in bidding by e-mail, the bid with the earliest date and
time will be declared the winner.
5. Persons who have the winning e-mail bid will be notified they have
won and will have to contact John AK3Z or Doug N5LBJ to make
arrangements for payment and pick-up, this must be completed by
Feb 16th 2004, no exceptions.
6. All bidding will start at $1.00 and will increase at $1.00
increments, bids with loose change, i.e. $1.29 etc, will not be
accepted.
7. Items not receiving a bid will not be given away; they will either
be retained for another auction at a later date, or disposed of by
the Station committee.
8. The cutoff for bidding will be 2400 EST on February 7th, 2004,
that is a Saturday evening, bids received with a send time later
than 2400, which will be Sunday the 8th, will not be accepted.
