You are wise, oh great one! Yes we are on two separate runways. Since
I'll be downtown on Wednesday, let me know of the boards decisions regarding
where this project should head.
BTW, just a thought here...the sooner we can get the thing painted, the
sooner we can take it around, drum up some support, recruit a few new
members, show ourselves out in the community, pick up some babes, etc. We
don't even need to put any equipment inside it! Suggest this at the
Wednesday meeting, please and see if anyone salutes it.
I'll wait until after the board meets to schedule our first committee
meeting. After all, what could waitng a couple of days hurt. But, I do
agree, we should meet WITH the vehicle for the first go round. I'm assuming
it will be ready within a couple of days. I'll pick it up and bring it to
the FTC for the first meeting.

Hike! But remember the Bod meeting is Wednesday. Stabilization followed by
laying in a good foundation is key. I think we are heading to the same place
but are coming in on two different runways. I see stabilization well on its
way, but no foundation (money). I felt the BoD needs to ring in on that
aspect plus whatever guidance it sees fit. Also Steve wrote a note the other
day saying that in effect this committee was going to need some initial help
and guidance before it was to run on its own (at least I think that's what
he wrote). I think a thorough inspection of the van after it comes out of
the garage (probably should be soon .. those repair don't take long) is in
order for those committee members who haven't seen it yet. Sort of get a
real feel for what we have to work with, or "what the game we are going to
play is". Initially pictures and drawings aren't quite enough. So maybe
the first meeting should be to meet the center of attention.
BTW, in a separate posting I will put the URL of MARS site with a Comm.
Trailer. There may be something there of interest.

I agree to a point, Frank. What I was hoping to do at this first meeting
was to simply get the committee organized. We can find out who is
interested in working in what capacity who leads and who follows, who has
experience and where. Then maybe we could get people ready to receive their
assignments. That way it won't need to rest on just our sholders.
This way we'd know who the running backs are, who the receivers are and who
the defenders are so that when it comes time to begin our drills, we've got
our team ready to go. Then as the drills progress, we can switch out a few
players or change positions as necessary. Adaptability, flexibility and
coordination are the keys to this kind of a project.
Comment, Frank or Board, please......

Maybe we need to slow down until the Board Meeting is held and procedures
are approved. Any time tables or further work is going to be dependant upon
fundraising. Lets take a little time and make sure we don't make any
mistakes. The immediate things needed to be done are rolling. Funding should
be the next big issue but not until after the BoD meeting.
