Greetings Keith;

Thanks for the work you've done checking on insurance costs!

You'd be really sticking your neck out with this kind of arrangement. I
think there would also be a problem with the registration -- the owner of
the vehicle (in this case the club) has to show proof of insurance, by
indicating the policy number when applying for or renewing the
registration. In a case like this, the policy number would not indicate the
club as being insured.

The lower rate had no collision and no comprehensive insurance. I am of
the
opinion that we should keep both! If we opted tp lower our comp.
deductable
to $500, it would lower the premium to $495 for 6 months.

I do however, have a problem with one item. That is that this quote is
tied
to the fact that I own a house. If insurance costs exceed payouts, I could

loose the house. This might be why 'corporate' insurance coverage costs a
little more.

BTW, this is based on a vehicle value of $2500. This value was derrived
from Kelley Blue Book and from Edmunds.com.

They gave me two quotes for 6 months. One was $502. the other was $384.
I
need to do a little more research. I'll keep you advised.

Does $502 sound better?

Progressive Insurance Company:

BIPD : 100,000 person/ 300,000 accident/ 50,000 property

Underinsured/uninsured: 100,000 person/300,000 accident/50,000 property
(250
deductable)

PIP: 2,500 full PIP

Collision: 500 deductable

Comp: 250 deductable

I'm currently waiting for a quote from Nationwide. I'll keep you advised.
