Al As far as I know, those tubes are safe to handle unless they are dropped and fracture into small pieces and dust. My understanding is ya don't want to breathe that stuff. Also you need to avoid scrapeing or abraiding which causes small particles. Latex gloves would probably give protection. Update me if my memory is incorrect. Frank K3MTT
