This is the first time I have received the message. The screen houses sound
interesting. I have very limited availablility on Sunday.

I personnaly feel this IS the type of thing the club should be investing in
as they can be used for the emergencies.

The problem of course is the money. The committee could use all of the money
allocated to it, then there would be none for food or gas. On the other
hand, the committee could go back to the Club and ask for more money at the
next meeting, BUT THERE IS THE WAITING PERIOD.

Another possibility would be use BoD funds and/or divert unused funds from
Committee left overs from this fiscal year. This of course would still have
to meet approval.

THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY OF HAVING A BOD MEETING MONDAY OR TUESDAY THIS
WEEK. IT COULD BE BROUGHT UP AS AN EMERGENCY PROPOSAL.

We should also investigate the possibility the Buddy has some portable
shelters available to him, that could be checked out.

I wonder if Larry has any pull with the reserves......

Gentlemen,
   I received a sale flyer from Sears today and one of the items on sale
(from 17-22 May) is a 12' x 20' screenhouse at half price ($99.99).
Although the park is a nice location, I think we are all painfully aware
that there is an insect problem that will detract from the Field day
festivities.  With the size of these units and the half price sale, is
this something that the Field day committee and the BOD would like to
consider?????  Because of the limited duration of the sale, if we are
interested, maybe we should consider migrating to the field day site
sometime over this coming week end to determine how we could best use the
screenhouses and what quantity would suffice our needs.  The Field day
committee could then propose the purchase at the BOD mtg this coming week
and someone could make the purchase (if approved) on the last day of the
sale.  Gentlemen, is there any interest????.   I can make the flyer
available for review, just let me know where and when.
