CC BoD Members:

As requested I have looked into both equipment and liablity insurance
for the club at ARRL.
I have extracted some info below and a lot can be found at the URL's
listed below.
At first glance it looks like it could save us a few $$$$.

Property Insurance

The ARRL Club Liability Insurance policy provides up to $1,000,000 in
coverage for each occurrence and up to $2,000,000 in aggregate coverage
each year.

There are no deductibles to satisfy prior to receiving benefits.

Affordable Protection
Each Club interested in this liability insurance can receive a
no-obligation premium quotation. Since each Club is so different in the
activities it participates in, premiums are determined on an individual
basis. However, since ARRL sponsors this plan for the membership, each
Club has the advantage of group buying power and all premiums are kept
to a minimum - if a Club had to find an individual policy with this type
of protection, chances are the costs would be prohibitive.

This Plan Covers the Club, Members and Officers
The Club is insured when named in a covered lawsuit for acts committed
by members working for the Club and under its direction.

Officers and members are insured when named in a covered lawsuit as a
result of Club activities when they are acting on behalf of the Club.

You Will be Covered for All These Types of Lawsuits

Suits for bodily injury which occur on the premises or as a result of
Club activities.
Suits for damage to property of others resulting from Club activities.
Suits for personal injury and advertising injury, including libel,
slander, defamation of character, false arrest, invasion of privacy,
detention and malicious prosecution.
Suits for liability resulting from the sale of foods and beverages or
other products.
Suits for host liquor liability when serving or giving alcoholic
beverages at functions incidental to your Club provided that no permit
or license is required prior to serving alcohol. Clubs should check with
individual states regarding liquor law regulations.
Suits for real or alleged faults in work completed by or for your Club,
which result in bodily injury or property damage.
Suits involving the use of automobiles not owned by the Club but used
for official Club activities.
Suits arising from injury caused by the rendering or failure to render
health care services by nonprofessionals.
Suits arising from fire damage (up to $100,000) to premises not owned by
a Club but used for Club sponsored activity.
Defense against such suits even though the charges made are groundless,
false or fraudulent.

Equipment Insurance

The ARRL "All-Risk" Ham Radio Equipment Insurance Plan is available to
all members of the American Radio Relay League who reside in the United
States, its territories and possessions. Coverage is also available to
ARRL affiliated clubs to protect the club's equipment - including club
station and repeater equipment.

New Property Coverage
For added property UNDER $1,000 ...if you purchase additional or
replacement equipment or take custody of equipment of a type already
insured by this policy, it will automatically be protected without any
additional premium as long as the total added value does not exceed
$1,000 during the policy year. Send no money ...at your next policy
renewal date, you will be asked to add all purchases made under $1,000
and your premium will be adjusted appropriately.

For total added property OVER $1,000 ...notify the ARRL Insurance
Administrator immediately ...only if your new property is valued over
$1,000.

Low Cost Coverage
Because of the economies of centralized administration, the cost of this
Plan is much lower than coverage from other sources. Your annual premium
is just $1.50 per $100 of replacement cost value (minimum premium is
$20). Please add a $7 administration fee to your total premium. For
example, if the replacement value of your equipment is worth $3,200,
your annual premium is only $48 (plus the $7 fee).

Low Deductible
The Plan's deductible is just $50 for each claim. To assist you even
further, the deductible for repairs is just $25 per item with a maximum
of $50 per claim.

Exclusions
This Plan does not insure against the usual and customary exclusions
such as loss or damage by mechanical or structural breakdown or failure,
dishonest acts, wear and tear or damage occasioned by repairing or tuning
.

Additional information including applications are found on the ARRL web
site listed above.
