The key is probably to put the trailer on blocks and keep the wheels and
tires off it until we need to transport it. Store the wheels inside
somewhere until we need to transport it. If the tires are kept in a cool dry
place and out of the sun, they should last a long time.  Of course, there
will not be any immediate emergency availability of the trailer if this
option is taken.
