As you know, it has been and continues to be difficult to find
impportant club documents. To that end at the BoD meeting I
volunteered to put copies of everything we can find on a CDROM.
I am going through a 2 inch binder that has various Club records.
There doesn't seem to be too much there that needs to be archived at
that level.
We think all official documents down to the title for the club
generator trailer needs to be there along with anything of
historical importance, newpaper clippings.
But for now, official documents relating to our incorportation,
bylaws, tax status, etc. are absolutely necessary.
Would you send me an inventory of what you may have as a result of
your work and rather than me putting my hands on the documents, if
you could scan then at 300 dpi and put them in a BMP, PNG, TIFF,
JPEG or PDF format preferably. I do the converstion to PDF if necessary.
I think Joe has straightened out the Safety Deosit Box and the
originals and a copy of the CDROM should reside there.
Probably everyone on the BoD ought to think about what we need to
archive just so we don't miss something.
Some ideas: FCC License; documents indicating the beginning of the
formal club in 1976/77/78; incorporation papers;
constitution/bylaws; tax documents; charitable org docs, trailer
license; serial numbers and possibly pictures of ALL club owned gear
(we bought expensive tags years ago); and as time permits possibly
we can gather historical pictures of events and put them on CDROM also.
