Re: Proposed Data Center
Hello NARFE Members,
We wanted to make sure our members are aware of a Community Open House to be hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) this coming Thursday (see details below). AWS has expressed an interest in building a data center adjacent to the nuclear power plant in Lusby. At the meeting, AWS will speak about their approach to data center development and their interest in Calvert County. This meeting notice is provided for informational purposes only and does not imply endorsement of or opposition to data centers by NARFE. We want our members to stay informed.

Date: Thursday, March 26, 2026
Time: Two sessions are being offered (same content). Each session includes a presentation followed by breakout discussions on water, energy, environmental topics and more:
-> Session 1 at 5-6:30 p.m.
-> Session 2 at 6:30-8 p.m.
Location: Calvert Middle School, 655 Chesapeake Blvd., Prince Frederick
