A powerful cold front will bring a squall line into the area which will likely bring damaging wind gusts with the possibility of tornadoes tomorrow afternoon into evening.
Severe thunderstorms will impact the area throughout the day tomorrow. Thunderstorms will have the potential for damaging wind gusts, large hail, and a few tornadoes. Wind gusts may be as high as
70-80 mph. This is likely to cause significant tree and power line damage.
Strong winds will be ongoing tomorrow beginning in the morning. The onset of the highest winds and possible tornados is between 3-5pm for our area. Tornadoes may develop rapidly. The maximum reasonable
intensity for any tornadoes that affect our area is an EF-2.
There is another SWEM call scheduled for tomorrow at 1:00 PM. EMA will continue to monitor and update as needed. All forecasts are subject to change without notice.
