Thank you in advance to anyone who is able to assist with the weather net. I am excited to test out my new radio capabilities!
I anticipate having a heavy workload due to EOC operations, so I would like to request that Net Control compile and submit one report to me as opposed to everyone emailing me individually.
Better yet, if the Controller is a WebEOC user, please log-in, sign-in, and post the updates to your Activity Log. I believe an event is already in WebEOC, and we will begin monitoring it on a regular basis starting Saturday. Contact Colton Pounsberry if you have access issues.
Thanks again,

Given the current forecast for this weekend, I would like to run a "modified" weather net for reporting snow accumulation, road hazards, power outages, etc. Kara Buckmaster from Calvert EM contacted me yesterday to advise the EOC will activate in a virtual mode and would like any info we collect to be passed along to them as well. She is a GMRS user and will be monitoring the Calv650 repeater and can be contacted via email.
I'm sure most, if not all of us, won't be up all night so I'm looking to have the net active from 7am-9pm or hours along that line. I will try to activate it when accumulation begins and keep it going on a daily basis as resources and need dictate.
Obviously, one person can't do it all so I'm looking for folks to assist. Anyone willing to help out, please let me know or if you're free and want to give the current "net control" a break, that would be helpful. Reporting can be done with an hourly call for reports and email or phone can be used to submit any reports.
I would like to include GMRS as much as possible so if you are licensed, please monitor the repeater and notify users.
Any ideas and or suggestions to help this run smoothly and efficiently are welcome.
More to come as we get closer.
Thanks!
Andy
