The Following information is from Our EOC and MDEM and is for our situational awareness and planning purposes.

Good afternoon, Calvert partners.

Calvert EM is monitoring TS Debby along with the state MDEM and the NWS.  Here is the latest update we can provide for your situational awareness and planning purposes.

The remnants of tropical cyclone Debby will move across the region Thursday night through Friday night.  Potential impacts include flooding due to heavy rainfall, tornadoes, gusty winds, and additional tidal flooding.

  • The greatest threat for flash flooding is across northeastern MD and in the Baltimore/ Annapolis metro area.
  • Tornadoes are possible near and east of the track of Debby.
  • A gale watch is in effect for all the waters from Thursday evening through Friday night.  Gusty winds over land expected to be 20-40 mph.
  • Minor river flooding is possible.
  • Expected rainfall amounts for our area are 1.5-2 inches Thursday night through Friday night.

Calvert EM expects to remain in a normal status at this time and will continue to monitor with MDEM and the NWS.
