Anyone still at NVIS day? Sitting at home if you could provide a frequency, I’ll check in. :)Andy WA4BRX______________________________________________________________On Sat, Apr 27, 2024 at 11:52 AM D Arm <dbarmstrong00@gmail.com> wrote:Me too______________________________________________________________On Sat, Apr 27, 2024 at 11:25 AM Wade Mahaffey <kb3vle@gmail.com> wrote:I'm up on 7.175.______________________________________________________________On Fri, Apr 26, 2024, 20:13 Andrew Charland <acharland182@gmail.com> wrote:7.175MHz Bottom of the General portion of 40m.______________________________________________________________On Fri, Apr 26, 2024, 20:03 Daire Hughes via K3CAL <k3cal@mailman.qth.net> wrote:______________________________________________________________Hi all, For those of us that aren't privy to the "roster" perhaps someone should advertise a good 40m starting frequency.Daire Hughes - AC33KX

NVIS Day tomorrow, April 27th, 2024
Ward Farm Park Dunkirk, Md
10am-4pm
Bring your chair, shade/sunscreen, and refreshments. We will be operating a Yaesu FT-710 and Xiegu X6100(not at the same time) with a 9:1 unun and 71ft “random” wire to practice our “local” HF skills.
NVIS is a great Ecomm skill for times when repeaters are down and VHF/UHF simplex just isn’t cutting it! The goal is to lower the antenna to increase the take-off angle thus decreasing the skip zone to communicate in a more local/regional scenario. Not something we practice frequently so it should be a fun challenge.
Included is a map of the park. The red X is our set up location but it shouldn’t be too hard to find us. Weather is looking pretty good at this point so we hope to see folks there.
Andy
