“X” marks the spot!!!

The red ‘X” in the attachment indicates where we’ll be for this year’s NVIS Day at Ward Farm Park in Dunkirk. The date? April 27th from 10am to 4pm(depending on participation).

This year we will be trying a 71ft “random” wire  with 9:1 unun. Working on a way to get it at about 10-12” up for a good steep take-off angle.

Bring your own chair(BYOC)as there are no picnic tables! If it’s sunny… bring a hat or whatever is your favorite shade device. Station set-up will most likely be under a “pop up”.

Yes! We will have weather monitoring via RadarScope and the Kestrel 3500 pocket weather station.

Dale, KC3RKP has volunteered to be our Safety Officer only he doesn’t know that yet.

More to follow as we get closer.
