Our Calvert AUXCOMM group is meeting this Wednesday, 7pm, at the Harriet E. Brown Community Center, 901 Dares Beach Road Prince Frederick, MD.  You don't need to be an AUXCOMM member to attend.

 

We will probably be in room 108 but check with the desk when you arrive.

 

If you have the equipment for digital modes on 2M or 70cm FM, please bring it along for a practice session and help with any problems.  We'll try Packet Winlink, Winlink using VARA FM and some MT63-2000L (using the FLDIGI software).  Mostly peer-to-peer but we may try some packet via our K3CAL-1 digipeater.   If you have a dummy load, bring that too along with a cable for your transceiver.

 

Remember, for Winlink Packet you need EITHER a hardware TNC

      OR

software that emulates a TNC, like soundmodem from http://uz7.ho.ua/packetradio.htm plus a sound card like a SignaLink and the Winlink Express software, https://www.winlink.org/WinlinkExpress

 

For VARA, you need the VARA FM software, https://rosmodem.wordpress.com/ and a sound card plus the Winlink Express software.

 

For MT63-200L, you need FLDIGI, http://www.w1hkj.com/ and a sound card.
