 Most of the time you spend studying the old way is spent relearning what you forgot from the last test. Studying, testing, playing ,and upgrading takes a long time.

  The new guy set up his radio for the repeater echo link and QRZ.  You don't need to know how to use a radio.  Now he is on the top looking down and can be what ever kind of radio guy he wants to be.
