Attached is the application with proof of payment for Pavilion 1 at Kings Landing Park for the Md QSO Party. We're all set. Plenty of space for antennas on tripods, plenty of branches for hanging antennas, big grill, ceiling fans, close to the "facilities', lots of power outlets(receticles for all the technical folks), and plenty of picnic tables.

Jennifer did explain to me that the price difference was (a) a different pavilion and (b) the price for past events was based on what they charge youth groups not adult groups. Please don't ask me why we got denied for a waiver that exists for county nonprofits because I was unable to get an answer that made sense to me.

King's Landing Park.

A pavilion has been reserved at the Kings Landing Park in Huntingtown for K3CAL Maryland QSO Party activities.

The pavilion has commercial power. Two stations (Andy KC3WRX and Brian KB3WFV) will be set up for those who wish to operate. While there is no real need for additional equipment. You can bring your own equipment if you would like. Especially if there is a specific mode or band that you would like to operate in. However antenna systems and set up should be kept to a minimum.

There are NO plans to have food or drinks provided by CARA. So, pack a picnic basket for yourself. Feel free to bring along something to share. But don't plan on finding a catered field day type of event. There is a charcoal grill at the pavilion if you would like to cook something up. Don't forget the bug spray and sun screen.

There will be a donation boot or at least Andy's pocket (he reserved the pavilion) to cover the $125.00 charge that Calvert County receives for the use of the pavilion. Please consider passing along a few bucks to defray the expense.

This is a casual get together. Bring friends, Bring the kids, the grand-kids, and the rest of the family. Stop by to say Hi, come to operate, come to take a walk in the park, or grab a table and enjoy your homemade picnic lunch.

Hope to See you there!
Brian
