I'll bring:

1. The quiet Honda generator (rental from Jim's Air Tool).

2. My 10M/6M rotary dipole along with a fiberglass mast.

3. My old VAIO laptop with the N3FJP software just in case we need it.  The battery is shot so it's not the best PC to use.

4. Tennis ball launcher and slingshot

5. CW keyer and paddles

Suggest everyone bring personal headphones with plug adapters to fit into 1/4 and 1/8 inch jacks.

Also, if we're able to meet at the FD site soon, we should definitely plan the antenna layout.   Last minute antenna additions can mess up coupling between stations.  Very frustrating to be working stations on one band only to get wiped out on receive by another transmitter on the site.  It's difficult to avoid all coupling, but keeping horizontal antennas at right angles to one another and separated as much as possible helps.

Hello all

Field day preparations will start at 8:00 AM on the 25th at ISLAND COMMUNITY CENTER4080 SCHOOL ROAD, BROOMES ISLAND, MD 20615.

We will need volunteers to help set up the antennas, cables and radios.

Also, on 26 June we will need help to take equipment antennas and cables down, starting about12:00 noon.

The most important part is to have lunch ready for all hungry workers.  I would like everyone to think the cook Dale KC3RCP the VP for stepping up and helping.  Dale is also the safety officer for field day.

We have been talking about having a location meeting at brooms Island to talk over how to install the antennas.  The price of gas keeps going up.  It may be a hardship for some people to show up at brooms Island.  I would like to know if you are interested in.  Still doing a meeting at brooms Island before set up on 25 June.

Also, I would like to think Dick Terlisner AE3DT for setting this up at brooms Island without his help it would not happen.  By the way Dick, when can we pick the key up for field day?.

Here are some of the volunteers’ duties Dick, W3RBR will be bringing a cooler with ice and drinks, Ed WB6NCO will be bringing gas generator.  Shawn N3AE will be bringing a quiet generator.

I know some of you have volunteered to bring your radios, antennas, and supports please do so.  Thank you very much.

I know this is going to be a great field day and everyone's looking forward to it you have any questions please call me or email me.
