I have not used a tree on 160 but I have used it from26.000>14.000.  Works good on 11 and 10 meters.
I bet we can put a wire up and get you on 160. That was the point of my Folded,bent slanted oak tree fread dipole.
Doing it by The book may be out of reach.  Wire in the air will work. I think mine is 245 on each side.
I have a new toy to shoot wire in the air.
I have a lot on my antenna farm that needs work. The DB42 is going to be a pain. It still works but the roater is not working. It turns at the bottom but not at the top. Drive shaft broken?? or unhooked?  
Snakes ticks and let's not forget the alligators. I dont want a helper hurt.
