I had no problem putting mine up. There were restrictions about how close to the property line it could be, and you will be required to pull an electrical permit- which requires a licensed electrician - but the inspector who did the final inspection only wanted to see that it was properly grounded. I did have to get a sign off that it did not impact my septic system, but that was no big deal.  Really, the permit process was pretty painless.

Hope that helps.

If you got to the Calvert County website you can find the County regs.

I have looked at it in the past.  I know you need to be somethong 3/4 of the height away from an abutting property line.  With the size of the property you are looking for I don't think you will have an issue.  I know a guy that once had several acres here and had a groundhog problem.  He asked about shooting them.  Cops essentially said fire away.

Hi! KE3Q here. Considering a move from PG to Calvert. Can anyone there advise me on how Calvert is on tower permits, etc.? Looking for 10+ acres preferably, modest house OK, barn, pole barn, or other outbuildings good -- have 2 horses... Thanks. [email protected]

From our Facebook page. Would someone help him out that knows tower regs?
