Blizzard Warning: Worcester, Wicomico, and Somerset Counties
Winter Storm Warning: Kent, Talbot, Caroline, and Dorchester Counties
Winter Weather Advisory: for Cecil, Garret, St. Mary's, Charles, Prince George's, Anne Arundel Counties, and parts of Allegheny, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Harford, Howard, Montgomery Counties
Gale Warnings and Small Craft Advisories are also in effect. Please monitor your local weather forecast.
This Afternoon - Evening (Phase One)
- Light snow accumulation is expected to gradually move east across Maryland.
- Some impact to P.M. rush hour
- Winter Weather Advisory all day for Garrett/W Allegany with persistent mountain snow showers.
Tonight - Saturday (Phase Two, Heavier Snow)
- Greatest threat to Eastern Shore, high uncertainty for western Bayshore
- Snow, highest accumulations on the Eastern Shore
- Blizzard Warning: Worcester County and coast (winds & heavy snow)
- Winter Storm Warning: rest of Eastern Shore south of Cecil County
- Winter Weather Advisory: Cecil, I-95 corridor (& Montgomery), south through lower southern MD. Also continues for Garrett/W Allegany
Wind
- Expected 30-40 mph wind gusts.
- Possibility for damaging wind gusts of 50 mph along the Eastern Shore.
- Gale Warning for the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic coastal waters.
