Hello all,
A very busy net last night with 15 stations checking in, Here are the highlights.
- Special Thanks to Ed WB6NCO, Peter N3PH, and Dave KB3RAN for their hard working help with cleaning out the Mount Hope communications shelter.
- Special Thanks to Shawn N3AE, Dale KC3RKP and Eric KC3QQD for all of their help with the CARA table at the St. Mary’s ham fest
- Special Thanks to Shawn N3AE for collecting $370.00 in donations for equipment that went to good homes at the St, Mary’s ham fest. This money helps CARA’s efforts with supporting ARES and RACES in Calvert County.
- Shawn will attend the Columbia Ham Fest on October 3rd to offer more equipment for donations. He would appreciate anyone’s assistance.
- Special Thanks to Bob N3PPH, Dave W3PQS and Shawn N3AE for all of the efforts with CARA Repeaters.
- A temporary test 2 meter repeater has been installed at the Mount Hope Sunderland Tower. The Motorola XPR 8300 repeater sounds great and has a large footprint. Allowing many stations to check in to the net on low power or using an HT.
- CLUB MEETING October 7th 2021 @ 7;30 pm on ZOOM.

The CARA net held last night Monday Sept 27th was the last of KB3WFV’s donation per check in drive. Fifteen (15) check in’s including one (1) clubs officer, make this week’s donation $30.00. Adding this to the $142.00 total from last week. Makes my Tax Deductible Donation to CARA $174.00!
