[K3CAL] GMRS Radio Recommendations

Greetings,
If you are considering handhelds, I would consider the BAOFENG MP31 from Radioddty.com or a Prime day deal on Amazon.
They are part-95 compliant - meaning GMRS-only. The FCC Radio ID is 2AJGM-MP31.
They currently are $24 per pair - very affordable ($20 per pair from Amazon on Prime days).
They feature USB-C charging - very nearly universal charger compatibility.
They do not have a display screen so it is not confusing to the user.
I have not used this particular model, but they look to be more rugged than some radios, so probably good for kids to play around with without breaking.
