[K3CAL] Fellow club member needs a hand

Hello everyone,

A busy time of year just got a little busier. A fellow amateur and long time supportive club member, located in Prince Frederick, has their home for sale. It is currently under contract, anticipating settlement on July 1st.

Before settlement can take place, two towers need to be removed. One of them is a 50ft Rohn 25G. Are you or anyone that you know an experienced tower climber?

The second tower is a crank over. Two or three able body persons would be needed for about 30 minutes of work, to lift the tower section off of it's pivot and place it on the ground. This will require handling weight over head, and transferring it to the ground. Meaning healthy shoulders, backs and knees are needed.... I know, I'm asking a lot!

The plan is as soon as possible. Maybe one or two evenings this week or this coming Saturday. Father's Day is Sunday and next weekend is field day. Worse comes to worse, sometime next week. But these things have to come down, the sooner the better.

Before you ask. No, I don't know the fate of the towers after they are down. You will have to talk to the owner about that. But let's focus on helping a fellow ham out first!
