I visited the booth in 2023 and the setup is pretty awesome. I also have a Yaesu also but those ICOM’s are tempting!
I couldn’t get time away from work to visit the jambo this year. Maybe next time I can staff it.

The K2BSA team is doing an outstanding job. I’m at the National Jamboree, and those guys have a great setup sponsored by ICOM. After playing on some of their radios, I think I’m less of a Yaesu fanboy than I was before.
I made a bunch of contacts thru the permanent 440 repeater at Summit when there was nobody on the EchoLink node-until I last my HT on Saturday.

The National Scout Jamboree has been going since last Thursday and will wrap up this coming Thursday. There is an amateur radio booth on site operating as callsign K2BSA. sScouts can learn about amateur radio, earn the radio merit badge, make contacts on the air, and even test for a license!
I made contact via EchoLink on node *JOTA-365* and had a great conversation with a scout this evening. This helped them complete a badge requirement to make a contact.
Maybe some of you have heard them on the air this week already or perhaps you have time Wednesday or Thursday to help a scout finish a merit badge requirement. Here’s an article they posted today with info on frequencies they’re working - https://k2bsa.net/news/
