[K3CAL] Nomination of Club Officers

Folks, we're not too far away from that time of year again. As the chair of
the Nominations Committee, I will be accepting nominations for our 2027
Board.

As members are nominated, I will contact them to let them know they've been
nominated and for which office and find out if the nomination is accepted.
If it is accepted, that person's name will be placed on the ballot.

Below is the text of the by-laws article covering officer nominations:


Article III of the Calvert Amateur Radio Association By-Laws, titled “Board
of Directors.”

 SECTION 3: Nomination and Election of Board of Directors. By no later than
the 1st (first) of October of every year, the Nominating Committee shall
present a slate of proposed Officers and At-Large Director to the Board of
Directors and shall present such slate to the membership at the October
Regular Meeting. Additional nominations may be made by Members at the
October Regular Meeting. Nominations will be closed at the end of the
October Regular Meeting. The Secretary shall distribute Nominations to
Members via email after the October General Meeting, and no later than ten
(10) days before the November meeting. Names of the candidates, the date,
time and location of the November General Meeting shall be included in this
email. Voting shall be by ballot when there are two (2) or more candidates
for President, Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer or the At-Large
Director. An open vote may be taken for any candidate who is unopposed.
Newly elected Board Members shall take office on January 1st.

We have a number of folks "wearing multiple hats". The club is all of ours.
Let's see if we can share some of the effort that goes into keeping it
moving forward.
