Curious Andy,
Why do you not use K3CAL call sign when activating a park on behalf of
the club? You should be able to add your call to the log providing you
tell each caller that "YOU" are the operator for a club station.
I am not sure of the exact rules but if I'm going to activate a PARK
for a CLUB activity, It is only correct to use the CLUB's callsign.
My opinion and I may be the only one who thinks so.

Subject: [K3CAL] CARA POTA Activation This Sunday
Good Evening,
There have been requests to have a POTA activation in the northern
end of the county. We are bringing the POTA fun to Kings Landing Park
this Sunday at 10:00AM. The plan is to use the picnic tables by the
pool parking lot. This will be an activation of the Star Spangled
Banner National Historic Trail, US-4581.
“War vessels passed by here in 1814. The Chesapeake Flotilla,
consisting of 50- and 75-foot gun barges, sought safety in shallow
waters upstream. British ships hotly pursued, and Americans eventually
scuttled the flotilla to keep it from enemy hands. The British
conducted raids June 15-17 upriver at Lower Marlboro and Magruders
Landing, and downriver at Hollands Cliffs. For more information on the
trail can be found here: [1]https://www.nps.gov/stsp/index.htm [2]
“
I have attached a picture of the location and a few maps. Talk in
will be on 146.580 when you get close to the park.
While I plan to bring my usual POTA gear, this is an opportunity to
test out your gear and get on the air! I have band pass filters, so we
can set up multiple stations simultaneously.
Hope to see you there!
73 and POTA on,
Andy WA4BRX
