No worries Jimmy. There is always next year. We take donated scanners and program them with about a dozen amateur radio frequencies. This year we took them to the STEM fair and held a lottery drawing, giving them away to the kids.

Never know, it might spark and interest in ham radio.

The special event station got 30 or 31 contacts... can't remember exactly. A couple from Canada but no other DX. The rest were a good variety of states from this side of the Mississippi. 
We also got contact info for some folks interested in exploring ham radio/electronics so maybe there will be some type of class in our future. 
If you're not aware, this is an annual event that attracts youth from all over the county. An event that should always be on the club agenda. Like wise, please keep it in mind for next year.
Pictures were taken so look for those on the website and Facebook in the coming days.
