Thanks to all those who participated today! Whether at the school answering questions, manning the repeater station, calling CQ for the special event station, or at home monitoring the repeater to help our young folks make their first amateur radio contact, it was a good time and great opportunity to show folks what amateur radio is about and what it can do.

The special event station got 30 or 31 contacts... can't remember exactly. A couple from Canada but no other DX. The rest were a good variety of states from this side of the Mississippi.

We also got contact info for some folks interested in exploring ham radio/electronics so maybe there will be some type of class in our future.

If you're not aware, this is an annual event that attracts youth from all over the county. An event that should always be on the club agenda. Like wise, please keep it in mind for next year.
