[K3CAL] Whart is all of that noise on the K3CAL Repeaters ??

Over the last couple of weeks, you may have noticed a bunch of noise coming from the K3CAL repeaters. These squeals, high pitch tones, and low pitch tones, that sound like you are listening to a dial up modem from the 1990's, probably led to turning your radio down or worse yet  off.

But what if I told you,this incoherent noise, isn't noise at all. It's an amateur radio transmission that you can capture, convert and copy. Best of all, you probably all ready have everything you will need to do so. What sounds like noise, is actually Digital Amateur Radio Communications.

Shawn N3AE along with several other club members have been honing their knowledge of the digital mode  MT63-2000L. A digital communication mode that allows analogue radios, connected to a computer running the appropriate software, to send and receive messages over amateur radio frequencies.
