Just arrived to home base in Sunderland from Savage MD. Began seeing snow accumulation on Route 2 roadway in Lothian. Southbound tire tracks were more visible than northbound. Felt antilock brakes (ABS) kick in stopping at 258. By the time I reached 260 road visibility was wagon ruts. Work van off the road just before Skinners Turn Rd, did not appear to need roadside assistance. Felt ABS again turning into neighborhood in Sunderland.

Accumulation on the back deck looks just shy of 3”.

CARA members have reported several cars off the road along route four in various locations. So far stations have reported four inches of snow in Lusby and Two inches of snow in Huntingtown.

The K3CAL linked repeater system is currently in SKYWARN Weather Alert Mode. Stations throughout the county are reporting weather conditions to net control. This information is being monitored by the Calvert County EOC and National Weather Service as needed.

You can pass along weather related information by joining the net at your leisure.
