[K3CAL] Calling All Stations - County Fair

Good Morning,

CARA is considering hosting a booth at this year's county fair. Time is running out to submit the application for a booth. As of this email we do not have enough members signed up to cover the booth for the entire event. County fair rules require that any booth must be staffed by at least one person during all fair hours. Please, help promote amateur radio and the club, consider signing up to cover 2 hours or 4 hours, one day or multiple days at the fair. Yiour admission to the CARA booth is free.

If enough CARA members sign up, we plan to host a booth much like we have at National Night Out. Operating a VHF station and an HF station, perhaps as a 1x1 special event call. Demonstrating amateur radio, distributing information and answering questions about the hobby.

If there are not enough members signed up, we will have to cancel the application.

The 2025 Fair Hours listed on the application are... 

Wed Sept 24th 4pm to 10pm. = A six hour day.
Thur Sept 25th 9am to 10pm. = A thirteen hour day.
Fri Sept 25th 9am to 10pm.  = A thirteen hour day.
Sat Sept 26th 9am to 10pm. = A thirteen hour day.
Sun Sept 27th 11am to 6pm. = A seven hour day, Plus time for tear down.

NOTE: The hours listed above are the official hours and are different than the hours listed on the sign up link shown below. We will adjust for this if we get enough support.
