[K3CAL] Skywarn Basics virtual class

Hey folks. The Skywarn Basics virtual class I sent the link out for is on May 8th from 6-8pm. That's the club meeting night. So, at the meeting Thursday, I asked about using Skywarn training as the subject matter for the May meeting. That's what's on the agenda for next month.

I spoke with the NWS powers-to-be about doing a group session and we've gotten approval from Emergency Management regarding the Barstow EOC for the time frame and use of the video system, so this is the perfect chance to get the training if you don't have it or just want a refresher. If you plan to attend(which I hope you will), please use the link below to pre-register. There will also be a sign-in sheet there to track who is present. NWS does want folks pre-registered so I can't promise you'll get credit and a spotter number if you attend without pre-registering, and you have to attend in person.

Instead of our regular meeting time, we will begin at 6pm. We'll probably have some county folks taking it as well so currently the EOC spots are for CARA members.

Storm season is upon us, and this is a great way to be involved. The training is also useful if you have an active outdoor lifestyle this time of year.
