CARA net Monday, September 16, 2024
KB3WVF: show and tell with mobiles after meeting. HT was won. FT-450 was won. Another radio soon to come – SW receiver see k3cal.club for tickets. On 12/7 afternoon – club party at Bulrushes. Tickets on club website.
KC3QQD: Hollywood Tailgate festival is on 10/12 – in-person testing. Door prizes, $5 entry fee, see the SMCARA Facebook page.
N3AE: Auxcomm meeting Thursday at 7 PM at the EOC. Review of CALVEX exercise. Forms practice and working on schedule for digital mode practice. Just returned for camping with KX-2 radio. Sunday afternoon net using echolink extensively.
W3RBR: finances in good shape – has been busy teaching classes recently.
W3PQS: got 160m antenna in place 80m antenna also. Tennis ball line shooter worked well. Has the proceeds from the 50/50 drawing from the meeting.
KC3WRX: Lunch in the park at King’s landing 1130. Or Mexico (in Huntingtown) if raining. Send nominations to Andy for elections. Her mom earned her Technician on Saturday.
AC3KX: Invited a member from Drum Point Club to the Auxcom meeting Thursday.
