Northwestern Calvert County in southern Maryland... Prince Georges County in central Maryland... Northeastern Charles County in southern Maryland... Eastern Arlington County in northern Virginia... Southeastern Fairfax County in northern Virginia... The northeastern City of Alexandria in northern Virginia... * Until 915 PM EDT. * At 832 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Fort Hunt, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles. * Locations impacted include... Arlington, Alexandria, Waldorf, Clinton, Fort Washington, Fort Hunt, Forestville, Largo, Coral Hills, National Harbor, Upper Marlboro, Nationals Park, Gallaudet University, Reagan National Airport, Rosslyn, Crystal City, RFK Stadium, Andrews Air Force Base, Howard University, and Camp Springs.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
