TO ALL CARA MEMBERS:

The Calvert County Emergency Management  has made available the Public Safety Building's EOC room for tonight's AUXCOMM meeting. 313 Stafford road in Prince Frederick at 7:00pm. 

The Emergency Management division supports amateur radio communications in Calvert County, by providing space on county towers and in county buildings for the installation of amateur radio equipment. Done so in exchange for the communication support of trained amateur radio operators during an emergency. 

The EOC as a meeting room, puts amateur radio operators in a place where they can be seen and heard by Emergency Management staff, including those with the 911 operations which is located in the same building. It is a great opportunity for amateurs to expand there knowledge and perhaps introduce more pepole to amateur radio.

IF YOU HAVE A RACES PHOTO ID. You should attend this meeting.

IF YOU ARE A SKYWARN MEMBER. You should attend this meeting.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN AUXCOMM. You are welcome to attend this meeting. 

 AUXCOMM is the collective name for:

R.A.C.E.S = Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service
A.R.E.S = Amateur Radio Emergency Service
SKYWARN = Trained amateur radio operators who relay severe weather reports to the National Weather Service.
