Hello All,

To everyone who attended last night's CARA meeting at the public safety building THANK YOU!

The emergency operation center room is a very nice place to hold a meeting. In attendance were 16 club members and a special guest, 
Mike Grierson, Calvert County's Division Chief of Emergency Management. It was quite a turn out. 

Members had an opportunity to see the R.A.C.E.S amateur radio operating position with in the EOC. Qualified amateur radio operators will man this position during an emergency when requested to do so by County officials. CARA members plan to complete the installation of the R.A.C.E.S amateur radio equipment in the next several weeks. Other members toured the radio shelter room and the 911 call and dispatch center. 

With the fantastic support of those in attendance. CARA was able to raise over $500.00 in funds for the new 2 meter duplxers. Leaving only $1,000.00 to go, to reach the goal of $3,600.
