[K3CAL] A challenge with CARA's New Meeting Location

As many of you know, this weeks CARA meeting will be held at a new location. The Public Safety Building EOC room in Prince Frederick. May 9th 2024 at 7:30pm. But there's a challenge .......

Many of you also know that CARA is currently holding a fund raising drive. In order to collect enough money to replace the 146.985 Sunderland repeater duplexers. This upgrade will replace the very old filters, reducing noise and improve signal quality. So far CARA has raised just over a little more than half of the purchase price of $3,600 dollars. The manufacturer has provided CARA with a guaranteed quote. But only for a limited time. . If CARA cannot raise enough money before the quote expires, then the price will have to be renegotiated and it will probably end up being more expensive. Time is running out. So here is the Challenge ...........

For every club member or even a guest who attends the May 9th CARA meeting. I will donate five dollars to CARA.
PLUS! For every person in attendance that hands me five dollars. I will match it!

That's right! Anyone who shows up and hands me five dollars. CARA will receive a  $15.00 donation!

Five dollars just to show up.
Five dollars from you .
Five dollars from me to double your donation.
Fifteen to CARA.

So, Break in to that piggy bank, dig through those winter jackets, look in the car's cupholders and find five dollars. Then grab a friend, a relative, a neighbor, even the postman. Bring whoever. Just show up this coming Thursday at the CAR meeting and help CARA reach it's fund raising goal!
