If it is a modern Win 10 PC, the license key should already be in Microsoft's online database for that particular computer. You can download Win 10 from the MS website and it should install and activate.

Microsoft does have install instructions on their website, and you have to dig for it. *sigh*. I think I Googled "win 10 reinstall media" or something like that.

I went through this with 2 used PC's I bought from Ebay. I wanted a fresh install but no recovery media was included.  I was able to get Win 10 Pro reloaded. You download the Win 10 image to a USB drive then off you go!

You can't jump from Win 10 home to Win 10 Pro with this method. It only works if you are just reinstalling.

I was hesitant at first, but it did work out fine
