If you are an ARES member.
If you have an interest in Amateur Radio Emergency Communications.
If you would like to see a demostration of the newly install RACES radio system at the Emergency Operation Center.

Then you should be at the AUX COMM meeting tonight. 7pm, Public Safety Building EOC room, 315 Stafford Road. Prince Frederick, Naryland.

Join Calvert County Amateur Radio Emergency communications team with Shawn N3AE, ARES Emergency Coordinator, Andy KC3WRX ARES Assistant Emergency Coordinator and Bill N3XMZ RACES Officer. As they demonstrate the functionalities and capability of the newly installed VHF/UHF RACES radio system at the EOC. Including, if time allows, a test of digital transmissions. It really is an impressive system.

Remember that the Calvert Amateur Radio Association (CARA), is a non-profit organization, run by volunteers, supports Amateur Radio Communications in Calvert County. Calvert County supports Amateur Radio Emergency communications by providing tower site locations and space at the Emergency Operations Centers for amateur radio equipment. Attendance at these meetings is important, as it shows Calvert County Emergency management staff, that Amateur Radio Operators are worth the investment.
