[K3CAL] Bird Feeder Squirrell abatement

Hello CARA -
I thought I'd share this with you at least for a chuckle and for information purposes.
I love watching birds come to our feeders in front of our house. We get all types and of all colors:Bluebirds, Yellow Swallows, finch, and King birds to name a few. All the fun is spoiled when Mr. Squirrel and his buddies show up gobble all the food. I've caught them hanging from the feeder, seeds flying everywhere and no birds to be seen. For a while I thought we had built a squirrel feeder, wth!
I started disuading the squirrelly punks by feeding them pellets. One day it came to me when I was in Tractor Supply. What if I use a Farm stock electric fence? That's what I built I have a simple copper 8 awg line going up the feeder with a grounded pole. The Squirrels  apparently don't like it and have left my feeders alone and my birds are back!
