Brian,
That is great, I did not realize at the meeting that I MIGHT be in TN
that weekend. I will be at the brooms island CC if not in TN. I will
update as the date comes closer.

Andy B, Andy C, Abe and Bill C,
Thanks! At last night's CARA meeting, several others also expressed
an interest. I will check with Broomes Island to confirm the space for
August 10th.
Apparently, the rules for the 2024 MDC QSO party have change for
2024. For instance the ONLY modes of operation for this year's QSO
party are SSB and CW. I encourage everyone who plans to operate for
this event to read the 2024 rules.
The rules can be found here:

More Details Soon.

If I am able, healthy enough. I will bring my own key and operate

Radio Operators are needed for the Maryland DC QSO Party.
The Maryland DC QSO Party promotes HAM RADIO throughout the stateof
Maryland and the District of Columbia. The idea is tocontact as many
stations in Maryland and Washington DC as possible.CARA members
operating as K3CAL, can Hunt for and make contact withother Maryland
and DC stations. Or CARA operators can Run CQ,making lots of contacts
with out of state stations. All of thesecontacts add to the overall
Club score.
CARA will need:
SSB operators.
CW Operators.
Digital Operators.
The tentative plan is to set up at Broomes Island Community Centerin
Broomes Island. Operators can bring their own rigs. Initialthoughts
are to operate on 80m 40m and 20m. CARA will provide theantenna
system.
The event will begin at 1400 on August 10, 2024 UTC, and end at0400
August 11, 2024 UTC.
In EDT, the event will take place 10am August 10, 2024 and end
atmidnight August 10th 2024.
Please respond to this email if you are interested in operating
aradio as K3CAL for the Maryland DC QSO Party.
