Hello All,

I wanted to take a  moment to Thank everyone who supports the Calvert Amateur Radio Association. Your collective dedication to CARA allows the membership of the club to continue encouraging the use of amateur radio through out Calvert County and the surrounding area. 

This dedication is expressed in many ways. From emergency communications to repeater systems, weekly on air nets, monthly in person meetings, on site events, even having meals together. All of these activities would not be possible with out your support and participation. 

2023 was a busy year for CARA. The 2 meter 440 linked repeater system with echolick was brought on line. Skywarn support added to cover Southern Maryland. In person meetings returned. APRS added to the K3CAL repeater system. Participation in Winter Field Day, NVIS Day, Field Day, Maryland QSO Party and the Science, Engineering and Technology Fair. Weekly Lunches returned as well as the Saturday Breakfasts. Not to mention all of the individual support CARA members gave each other with projects of their own. Just a few examples of how the membership supports amateur radio and the community.

With your continued support, encouragement and most of all your much needed participation, 2024 promises to be just as busy. There is a lot of talent, a lot of knowledge, and a lot of experience in the Calvert Amateur Radio Association. So, again THANK YOU for your dedication. We look forward to seeing you this year.
