All across the county, in dark dusty closets. Piles of lonely forgotten radios cry for help. All they want is a little of electricity and the chance to receive. With your help these radios can realize their dreams of transmitting again. All they need is a caring active ham like you. Give a forgotten radio the chance of a lifetime. Adopt a radio from CARA this week.

On Thursday February 8th 2024 at 7:30 PM. CARA will host a hands on Adopt a Radio event.  During the meeting, those in attendance will have the opportunity to learn how to test transceivers for proper operation such as TX power output, Audio output, and RX sensitivity. These transceivers are excess to the CARA inventory and are available for Adoption. Once the testing is complete, those in attendance will have an opportunity to bid on the radio and take it home.

Come One, Come All! invite your ham friends. Join CARA at the Harriett Brown Building in Prince Fredrick Maryland at 7:30 pm. Take your chances with the 50/50 raffle, you could be a winner. Learn some tips and tricks on how to test transceivers. Maybe  pass along some of your own tips and tricks. And Maybe just maybe give a lonely radio the happiness it desires by giving one a home.
