CARA net Monday, August 12, 2024

KB3WFV: National Night Out in-person contacts were helpful meeting officials from several organizations. Meeting last week included a demo of triband antenna. Due to unforeseen circumstances the MD QSO party was held at Brian’s QTH – approx. 10 members stopped by.
KC3QQD: Operated TalkAround Tuesday net from National Night Out location using the crossband radio at Barstow and had 26 stations give signal reports.
N3AE: went to Barstow and swapped the feedlines back to their usual positions – tested antennas on 2m. Has the logs for the MD QSO party. Auxcom meeting 7PM Thursday 8/15 at the EOC.
W3RBR: Treasury in good shape. Had fun at the QSO party.
KC3WRX: Lunch Wednesday 1130 iHOP in prince Frederick. AUCOMM meeting will go over changes to ICS.
KC3RKP: has been very busy.
AC3KX: pleased to make contact on Tuesday with mobile low-power setup. Looking forward to meeting.
W1AJW: greetings from Solomons.
KC3RWT: greetings from Huntingtown.
K3OCM: Thanks to Brian for hosting the QSO Party. Breakfast location TBA.
WB6NCO: Had been to Norway including above the Arctic Circle. Looking forward to installing a rig in his mobile.
KC3WOA: Enjoyed the QSO Party as rover and from Brian’s QTH.
K3GGM: appreciated the opportunity to learn about how to set up a cross-band radio system.
