[K3CAL] Aux Comm Meeting

 Kim, Abe,

The club already has a zoom account. That's not the problem. The primary issue is the poor WiFi signal quality at the Harriet Brown Building. Even cell signals can be intermittent. There is interference at that building that even wipes out VHF and UHF signals on the mobiles and HT's. The secondary problem is the availability of the people who have the log in credentials to the CARA zoom account and the equipment to make it all happen.

Every effort is made to accommodate the CARA members. Despite our best efforts, sometimes, the outcome can be less than we had hoped.

Regards,
Brian

CARA President

I noticed “Zooming” in quotes not sure if that is because your making a verb from Zoom or other Zoom like tools are on the table. I would throw google’s video chat/meeting tool into the ring. If there is enough interest I can send out a link for a Google video chat. Free version of Google video chat has a limit of 60 minutes which is more than the free zoom limit if 40 minutes.
I would be happy to send out a Google video/meet link to test it out if anyone is available

What is needed to make "Zooming" easier and more reliable?
